Handling & Care
How to store & handle your research compounds
A quick lab-handling guide so your compounds stay stable and sterile in your workflow. Storage, sterility, reconstitution (concentration) and post-reconstitution care — research handling only.
All Research Health Labs products are sold strictly for laboratory and research use only — not for human or veterinary use. Nothing on this page is medical advice or a recommendation for use in humans or animals. We do not provide dosing, protocol, or usage guidance. The statements here have not been evaluated by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. This guide covers laboratory handling only.
Storing the lyophilized (freeze-dried) vial
Before reconstitution, research peptides are most stable as a lyophilized powder. Keep the sealed vial cold and protected from light. For longer-term storage, freezer temperatures are typical. Avoid repeated temperature swings.
Keeping it sterile
Sterility matters in any lab setting. Wipe the vial stopper with an alcohol prep before accessing it, use sterile materials, and avoid touching the stopper or any surface that contacts the solution. Work in a clean area and never reuse single-use materials.
Understanding reconstitution (handling, not dosing)
Reconstitution simply means adding bacteriostatic water to the lyophilized powder to bring it into solution. The volume of bacteriostatic water you add determines the concentration of the resulting solution — for example, adding 2 mL yields half the concentration of adding 1 mL to the same amount of compound. This is a laboratory-handling concept about concentration only; we do not advise on how the solution should be used.

Once in solution, store the vial refrigerated and keep it protected from light. Reconstituted solutions are less stable than the dry powder, so handle promptly and follow your own lab's protocols.
Your Certificate of Analysis
Every batch is independently tested (HPLC + mass spectrometry) to a ≥99% purity standard. View your product's COA anytime in our COA Library. New to reading a COA? Our Start Here guide walks through it.
